How to Register

Capital Athletics is your one stop shop for all things athletics in the ACT and surrounding regions. Here you can register, nominate for competitions, find results, learn how to become a coach or official, and much more.

Woden Little Athletics Club and Woden Athletics Club have recently merged into one club called Woden Thunder Athletics.  Our new Club covers all ages.

If you register with Woden Thunder and are under the age of 17 you can compete at our regular Saturday morning meets and if you are 12 years or over you can also access the weekly Summer Series meets on Saturday afternoons. Your registration with Woden Thunder Athletics automatically gives you access to these competititions.

Capital Athletics are still in the process of reflecting our change in their registration system. In the meantime, for Senior athletes when you register through the registration portal choose Woden Little Athletics Club as the club that will accept your registration.

To become a member you can register through the registration portal HERE.

Note: for age 18+ registrations under the “Registration Product” you need to select ‘Adult (18+) 365 days’.  Do not select ‘Full Season’.

For age 50+ registrations under the “Registration Product” you need to select ‘Concession (50+) 365 days’.  Do not select ‘Full Season’.

Club Fees

Woden Thunder Athletics charges a small fee which is included in your Capital Athletics registration fee.

This club fee component goes towards the expenses of the Club such as hiring the Woden Park track for competition and training.

Benefits

Club members have free access to Woden Park for training four times per week from October through to mid March (inclusive).

In addition to the three public training days (see HERE), members can also access the ground on Wednesdays between 5.00pm and 6.30pm.

Uniform

Woden Thunder Athletics requires athletes to wear Club uniform whilst competing at Woden Thunder and Capital Athletics events. We have a range of Woden Thunder competition tops and Club clothing available to purchase.

As a special deal for our new members over the age of 18, we are offering one free piece of competition uniform after registering.

Check out our Uniform page to view the range and our sizing guide.
